🐻 The Den — the classroom game your students will beg to play

The Den
A gated world where every student builds a cartoon sim, then earns virtual currency — named whatever you want — by studying: daily science challenges, vocabulary sprints, head-to-head classroom duels, check-in streaks, trophies, and a 2D street their sims walk down. They spend it on clothes, pets, cars, and houses for their sim. No student accounts or emails — you print code slips, students pick a PIN, done. Own Review Quest units? Reward codes pay out Den currency automatically.
35 seconds of real gameplay: build a sim, shop the store, walk the Grove, challenge a classmate, earn a trophy, spin the wheel.
The Den — Classroom Subscription
140 student seats · teacher dashboard with roster, approvals & anti-cheat flags · server-graded games aligned to 8th grade and HS physical science standards · cancel anytime (your class is preserved)
$9.99/month
or $89/year (2+ months free)

❓ Questions teachers ask

Do students need accounts or logins?

No — and they never will. Students open your class link, type their first and last name, and start. Progress saves automatically in their browser, and a blue save code lets them move between devices. We store zero student data on our servers.

What do I actually see as the teacher?

When a student finishes (or gets as far as they get), the quest gives them a reward code to email you. Paste any number of codes into your dashboard's Insight panel and it decodes into a class table: every skill zone cleared, checkpoint performance, flashcard and minigame results, points earned, and the date — per student.

How long do I keep access?

Units and bundles: forever. One-time purchase, no subscription, and your class links keep working year after year — including every improvement we ship to the unit, automatically. The Den is different — it's the one subscription product ($9.99/month or $89/year) and works while your subscription is active; cancel anytime and your class is preserved in case you return.

Can my whole class use one purchase?

Yes — a purchase licenses your classes. All your periods use the same class link, all year, every year.

Does it work on phones?

Yes, everything except the optional two-player 1v1 arena games (those need a keyboard, so they're computer-only).

Does each unit come with an actual test?

Yes — every unit includes a printable unit test (PDF) that mirrors the quest's skill zones one-for-one: a multiple-choice section plus show-your-work problems, with a full teacher key. You get two scrambled forms (A and B) for test security. Download them anytime from your dashboard.

Is there a teacher guide?

Yes — a 4-page PDF covering setup, how students save, and reading the Insight panel: Review Quest Teacher Guide. It's also linked in your dashboard.

How do I cancel The Den?

Two clicks, no emails: open your Den dashboard → Manage billing → cancel. You keep access through the period you've paid for, and your whole class — sims, closets, balances — is preserved forever in case you come back. Lost your dashboard link? Use "Email me my dashboard link" above. Not sure which Tobin Science subscription you have? See Manage or cancel a subscription.

What's the refund policy?

All sales are final on digital goods — that's why the full free trial unit exists. Try it with a real class first; if your students love it, the rest of the catalog will land the same way.
